First of all, an update. If you were unable to get into the get-paid-to-surf service we talked about a couple of days ago, they have fixed their website issues. Click here to join up for free and become a stockholder earning real money to surf the web!
Moving on to today’s site.
I believe about.com has cleaned up their act. They used to be renowned for annoying popups and difficult-to-escape frames. But my visit to today’s FamilyFirst pick produced nary a popup, and escaping the frames if you visit a linked site seemed to work fine.
Ergo, today’s pick: About: Classic Rock.

The home-grown writers who compile About’s sections are a good, hard-working bunch of folks. I don’t know if they’re getting rich, I doubt it. But by and large, they do a good job.
Dave White, the purveyor of Classic Rock, has dug up lots of tidbits for us who are nuts about the music that’s been around for forty years or better.
For example, at presstime, articles included John Fogerty performing at halftime shows of TWO NFL games on Thanksgiving (jet lag city!), an interview with Elliot Easton, former Car and current New Car, How Queen’s Greatest Hits has outsold every other album in the UK (even the venerable DSOTM), and an article on the death of Mick Jagger’s 93-year-old father (a physical instructor. No wonder Mick still bounds all over the stage at the age of 63).
Of course, there are lots of great links to other Classic Rock sites too. So queue up some Pink Floyd on your mp3 player and dive in!
