Jerry’s Vintage Radio Logs

The file format of MP3 is changing the way we listen to music, and even how we read a book, or in this case, listen to a book. I have recently become hooked on old radio programs that I can download off the net, and then put on an MP3 player. One CD can hold up to 50 hours of programs. I have also discovered there is quite an interest in old time radio progams, which is why today’s FamSite is going where it is.

The site is called Jerry’s Vintage Radio Logs, and is a site that is a must bookmark for anyone interested in vintage radio progaming. Here you can find programming logs for just about any program, from “Adventure Ahead” to “Zero Hour”, with stops along the way at “Jerry of the Circus”, “Your’s Truly, Johnny Dollar”, and many, many more. There are resources here for the radio show collector, such a special corner for trading tapes and other memorablia, and services such as purchasing cassette tapes of the shows.

This is wonderful resource site to bookmark. Old time radio programs are truly a theatre of the mind. On recent trip to a ball game with my 13-year old daughter, she became upset when I wouldn’t play her hip-hop-rap music, but instead played my Superman radio serials. It only took a few epsiodes before she was hooked on them as well. Maybe there is hope for the younger generation after all. Enjoy your visit here today.
